Low light action photography is a very interesting hobby. One of the very satisfying aspects of photography in low lighting conditions is that you can get very unusual results with minimal effort. Of course duplicating that incredible shot may actually turn out to be quite difficult.
Figuring out how to use your camera with very low light is why you should consider taking classes online that deal with low light photography. It is not always easy to figure out how to configure your camera properly to capture the image that you expect and want.
Moving objects are difficult to photograph during the day, and low light action photography complicates things because you need a lot of light to capture something moving quickly. This is the essence of taking good photographs, the balance between lighting requirements and taking photos of quickly moving objects. One of my favorite subjects is photographing lightning strikes at night. You need a good camera for that and for that I recommend a digital SLR camera.
